Edgars Fourways Mall is unlike anything we’ve ever seen in South Africa, and it will slide open its gorgeous glass doors in Fourways Mall on 22 August.
That’s probably the first thing you’ll notice about this new concept store as you approach it … that the massive expanse of glass doors open all the way, merging shop and mall walkway, creating an ultra-wide entrance, inviting you to come in and play.
And it is a space to play. All 8,000 square metres of it.
The new Edgars brand has been winning our love in the way it’s embracing our own culture and calling on us to own the look in our unique ways, to express ourselves like never before. And this new store in Fourways Mall is a seriously inspiring space to express ourselves, no matter how conservative or edgy we may choose to be.
Just walking through this space is a pure experience. You can’t help but interact with it. You can’t help but be drawn in. Because gone are the stuffy aisles and the cluttered spaces we’ve become so used to. It’s an open-plan, liberated space with a focal bulkhead that naturally leads us towards the central square.
A multi-sensory, tree-lined central social space that emulates our beloved Edgars ‘Red Square’ logo, this central space anchors all the departments within the store, just like a town square. The central square design is also a beautifully subtle nod to the heritage of department stores as the heart of the high street. Because at their genesis, department stores were really about entertainment through shopping and socialising.
Hello Mugg & Bean! In the heart of Edgars Fourways Mall, you can chill, grab some coffee love, and top up on all the Insta inspo you need to keep your feed trending.
And all around this gorgeous square, you’ll find specialised features and services. You can call on the beauty experts to wow your brows, turn up your glow, and leave you looking and feeling flawless from head to toe. You can turn to the personal shoppers to give your look that extra edge. You can hit the custom zone where tailors will help you make your look truly yours (because who says you can’t rip and repair your new denims or print on your new tee?).
Edgars Fourways Mall is a two-floor haven of home-grown brands, in-house exclusives, and favourites from around the world in fashion, beauty, and homeware.
There is a denim bar, home zone, footwear world, and activation spaces for cosmetic events, home demonstrations, and new launches. There are play areas for kids and digital multi zone screens with in-store music.
In fashion you’ll find everything from your favourite private label and international brands. An exciting addition is the Calvin Klein full line which will be exclusively available in store.
